The late 1800s recorded history of the Copper World mine brought us back to the “Apartments” at Valley Wells.
We were not making very good time. Along our way up the mountain, there were several other things to stop and see. One was the remains of a gate on the trail to a mine located midway up the mountain.
Compared to most camps we’ve seen, it’s hard to call what we saw here a miner’s camp, but the area had a few interesting features.
