In the colorful tailings lay additional history. Though we could not identify the emblem, the writing on the other side of the purple, glass disk read “PATD JANY.11TH 1898”.
The dump was filled with broken bottles and rusted cans. One broken bottle neck still had it’s corked cap on. The cap has a turkey on it. A bit of the broken neck reads “Wild”.
The rusted, mangled can is a miners lunch box.
