Observed Mama with Goldie and Diego the other day. Her winter coat is still so thick, it resembles a foal’s.
***Prior observations reflect during a healthy spring; several horses have diarrhea, due to all the rich, green forage. Though the desert is now in its third year of drought, the Red Brome is two inches tall and covering the ground for acres. I believe this is why Mama has diarrhea.
Goldie’s winter coat is shedding out. Her girth has begun to reflect her pregnancy. She is two years old.
Deigo is in good, third year drought condition, coming out of winter.
